Release History
Double Slit Synth
1.1.1
Added
- The standalone app has its own icon. It shows on the taskbar and, once installed through the FreqElement Hub, in the Start menu.
- Double Slit tells you if Windows is missing something it needs, and what to install to put it right.
Fixed
- The interface opens on every computer, in every DAW and in the standalone app, on all supported versions of Windows.
1.1.0
Added
- Presets you hide stay hidden. The eye button on any preset takes it out of the browser and out of the preset menu at the top, so the list you scroll through is the one you actually use. The Hidden tab shows everything you have put away, with a count, and one click brings any of them back. Factory presets can be hidden just like your own.
- You can delete your own presets from the browser, with a confirmation step. They go to the recycle bin, so a change of mind costs nothing. Factory presets cannot be deleted — hide them instead.
- A My Presets tab, listing just the presets you have saved yourself. They are marked in every other view too, so it is always clear which are yours.
Fixed
- Favourites are remembered between sessions. Presets you star stay starred the next time you open the plugin, in every project.
1.0.9
Added
- TUNE TO A440. Snaps each oscillator's fixed frequency and every detune offset onto standard concert pitch, so a patch dialled in by ear plays in tune with the rest of your project.
- The settings panel now links to the release notes for the version you are running.
Changed
- The dice button now builds a character. Each click picks a direction — pluck, pad, bass, lead, drone, percussive or full interference — and builds the whole patch around it, so every roll is a genuinely different starting point rather than a variation on the same texture. Two clicks in a row never give you the same character, and every patch it makes is audible and playable straight away.
- Detune is now shown in Hz, which reflects how it shapes the interference between the two slits: the same setting is a different musical interval at each pitch. Use TUNE TO A440 to land on exact intervals.
- The manual now covers the interface as well as the synthesis engine — fine control, resetting and typing exact values, MIDI Learn, the preset browser, the displays and the dice.
Fixed
- The interface now appears immediately when the plugin opens.
- Loading a preset after using the dice now replaces the previous patch completely, including its modulation.
- Loading a preset now keeps your oversampling setting.

- The current preset name is restored when you reopen a project.
1.0.7

1.0.5

1.0.4

- The interface now loads reliably on all supported systems.
